Seeking SafetyA year or two ago, I was playing Hide-and-go-seek with my nephews and my littlest nephew and I hid behind his dad's old, rusted Chevy truck. He was really quiet, surprisingly quiet for such a little kid. I looked over at him and he was well hidden behind a giat tire with his right hand cupped over his groin.
To a pediatric nurse, a young boy holding his balls can mean only one thing.
"Jonathon," I whispered "do you need to go potty?"
"Uh -- u-u-u," he stuttered "n-na I just hold them for safety sometimes."
